Product details
Our school trousers are made for the way children really wear them: kneeling, running, sitting at desks and sliding on playgrounds. They are cut from a tough polyester-viscose suiting fabric with double-stitched seams, reinforced knees and pockets, and a deep hem that can be let down as your child grows. In grey, navy blue, khaki and black, sizes 22 to 40, from KSh 600.
What makes good school trousers?
Parents tell us the same story: cheap school trousers go shiny, lose their crease and split at the seams long before the child outgrows them. We chose a fabric and construction that solve those problems.
- Durable suiting fabric that resists shine, fading and creasing.
- Double-stitched seams that do not split at the seat or crotch.
- Reinforced knees and pockets for active children.
- Permanent front crease for a smart look with little ironing.
- Belt loops and a secure button and zip.
- Deep hem that can be let down by up to a few centimetres.
School trousers prices by size
School trousers come in sizes 22 to 40:
- Sizes 22–24: KSh 600
- Sizes 26–28: KSh 750
- Sizes 30–32: KSh 850
- Sizes 34–36: KSh 900
- Sizes 38–40: KSh 1,000
Pick a size above to see the exact price. If your child is between sizes, choose the larger size and take in the hem or use a belt — school trousers that are slightly long can be let down later, but trousers that are too short cannot be fixed. Our uniform size guide lists typical sizes by age.
Colours: grey, navy blue, khaki and black
Grey, navy blue, khaki and black dominate school bottom wear in Kenya, and we stock school trousers in all four. Grey is the most common for primary and secondary schools, navy is popular with private schools, khaki is used by many schools in warmer counties and for some junior school uniforms, and black is often required for senior school. If your uniform list specifies a different shade, mention it in your order notes or WhatsApp us.
School trousers or school shorts?
Many primary schools let boys wear shorts in lower classes and trousers from upper primary. Some schools require trousers all year. If your school allows shorts, see our school shorts, available in the same four colours. Buying a mix of school trousers and shorts gives your child options for cold and hot days.
Care tips for school trousers
- Turn school trousers inside out before washing to protect the colour.
- Wash in cool or warm water; avoid bleach.
- Hang by the hem or waistband to dry so the crease stays sharp.
- Iron on a medium setting with a damp cloth to avoid shine.
- Repair small seam openings early before they spread.

Buy school trousers online in Kenya
Add your school trousers to the cart, choose Nairobi delivery, countrywide courier or free pick-up, and pay with M-Pesa. Nairobi orders arrive in one to two working days and upcountry orders in two to four. Complete the uniform with a short sleeve school shirt, a plain school sweater and school socks.
Getting the fit right at home
When the trousers arrive, ask your child to try them on with their school shoes and a school shirt tucked in. Check four things. First, the waist: the trousers should stay up with a belt without being pulled tight, and you should be able to slide two fingers into the waistband. Second, the seat: your child should be able to squat and sit cross-legged comfortably. Third, the length: the hem should touch the top of the shoe, with a slight break, not drag on the ground. Fourth, the pockets should lie flat without gaping.
If the trousers are a little long, fold the hem up inside and stitch it lightly so it can be let down later. If they are slightly loose at the waist, a belt is usually enough. If they are tight anywhere, exchange them for the next size within seven days while they are still unworn and tagged. A good fit not only looks smarter, it also reduces strain on the seams, so the trousers last longer.
School trousers: frequently asked questions
Do the school trousers have an adjustable waist?
They have belt loops, so a school belt keeps them secure if your child is between waist sizes.
Will the school trousers go shiny?
The suiting fabric resists shine. Ironing through a damp cloth keeps it that way.
Which colour do most schools use?
Grey is the most common, followed by navy blue, khaki and black. Always check your school's uniform list.
Can I exchange school trousers for a different size?
Yes, within seven days of delivery, if they are unworn and still have their tags.
