School socks sizes

Our school socks come in three sizes:

• Kids — pre-primary and lower primary (roughly shoe sizes 28–33).
• Teens — upper primary and junior school (roughly shoe sizes 34–39).
• Adult — senior school students, teachers and staff (roughly shoe sizes 40–45).

Socks stretch to fit, so if your child is between sizes, the smaller size usually fits snugly while the larger allows for growth. Every size costs the same: KSh 250 per pair.

How many pairs of school socks do you need?

For day scholars, we recommend four to five pairs of school socks so there is a clean pair every day of the week. For boarding students, pack six to eight pairs per term, because washing is less frequent and socks are easily misplaced in the dormitory. Label each pair with your child's name or initials.

Colours

We stock white school socks with navy stripes at the top, a classic look that goes with almost every school uniform. Many Kenyan schools ask for grey, navy, black or white socks, sometimes with stripes in the school colours. Caring for school socks

• Wash white school socks separately from dark clothes to keep them bright.
• Turn socks inside out before washing to remove dust and fluff.
• Soak very muddy socks in soapy water before washing.
• Avoid bleach, which weakens the elastic and fades the stripes.
• Dry in the sun or shade — they dry quickly.

The real cost of cheap socks
