Choosing the right ball size

Using the right size matters for skill development and safety:

• Football size 3 — usually for children under about 8.
• Football size 4 — usually for children about 8 to 12.
• Football size 5 — for teenagers and adults.
• Netball size 4 — usually for younger players; size 5 for older players and adults.
• Volleyball size 5 — the standard size for most school and adult play.
